Golden Valley – Herefordshire
A county which is a patchwork of fields, meadows, mixed woodlands and rolling hills, held together by calmly flowing streams, rivers and country roads.
Herefordshire stretches from the Malverns in the East to the Black Mountains and Breacon beacons in the West, Mortimer country in then North with the Forest of Dean to the South, with the magnificent River Wye meandering through unspoilt countryside.
Golden Valleys along the foot of the Black Mountains, beautiful ever changing scenery leading you to Hay on wye, secondhand book capital of the World. Stop and view Kilpeck church with its magnificent Norman carved doorway and amusing and some rude gargoyles hanging perilously above your head. Or enjoy the utter peace and serenity of Dore Abbey.
