Alma Barn is a beautifully restored former cart and animal barn, situated in the picturesque downland village of Aldbourne in Wiltshire. The barn dates back to 1663 and has been carefully converted to sleep four in comfortable self-catering holiday accommodation, available for flexible booking.
A blend of restored original features, a carefully designed interior and some of the latest technology help make this a special place to stay. With views on to the fields and downs beyond, yet within a few minutes’ walk into the centre of a charming and lively village, Alma Barn is a wonderful country bolt hole.
The holiday accommodation is well situated for visiting many places of interest. Within half an hour you can reach Marlborough, Avebury, Hungerford, Newbury and Swindon and within an hour Stonehenge, Salisbury, The Cotswolds, Bath, Bristol and Oxford.

The village of Aldbourne lies within the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is a sizeable village of just under 2000 inhabitants and is complete with all the essential village ingredients:- an active village green, shops, places to eat and drink and plenty of entertainment throughout the year. There are many great walks in the area, including on and around the Ridgeway which crosses through the parish of Aldbourne and Savernake Forest which is on the edge of Marlborough.
There are many excellent on and off road cycling routes in the area including on and around the Ridgeway.
