Due to a last minute cancellation The Barn is now available for this coming Christmas.
The Acorn cottage is the perfect place for a romantic break for two to get away from it all or to base yourself if visiting friends and family in the area.
The Oaks cottage sleeps five in three separate bedrooms, all with their own en-suites making it the perfect choice for extended families or groups looking to spend time together exploring the fabulous countryside that the peaks has to offer whilst still enjoying your own private space.

5 Star Gold Holiday Cottages in the Peak District
Mead Farm is situated in the heart of The Peak National Park with easy access to walks in every direction. With views to both Win Hill and Lose Hill, it is in an area of outstanding beauty, but within reach of local amenities
The Barn has been lovingly rebuilt in the original stone to reflect its history but with the benefits of modern living within. The bedrooms feature vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and trusses. The original barn has been divided into two adjoining cottages, the smaller being The Acorn which sleeps two and The Oaks which will sleep up to five guests, all with ensuite bathrooms. The ground floors are fully tiled with underfloor heating and traditional radiators in the bedrooms. Both properties benefit from WiFi access
Light and airy with a contemporary feel, it is the ideal place to relax after a long days walk. Both cottages are totally non-smoking, as are the patio and barbeque areas. Whilst no longer a working farm we regularly have pedigree livestock and rare breed sheep in the adjoining fields.
Both cottages are centrally heated and are fully equipped with everything you will need for a home away from home. All towels and bedlinen are included.
There are paved patio areas to the front and rear of the barn, both enjoying superb views across the Hope Valley. We have also created a sheltered patio with two picnic tables and barbeques for the summer months. Secure cycle storage is also available.
Guests are welcome to explore the private farmland throughout the year.
The Local Area
As well as stunning scenery and fantastic walks there is so much else to see and do in the local area. The Barn is a short walk from The Cheshire Cheese public house. The nearby village of Castleton, 2 miles from Hope, is the home of the Blue John Mine, Speedwell Cavern with its underground boat ride and other caverns well worth a visit. You will find an excellent Tourist Information Centre here as well as a wide selection of gift shops and cafes. More information
