Welcome to Bluebell of Lofthouse a beautiful self-catering holiday home, nestled between the bustling market town of Pateley Bridge and the picturesque rolling hills of Nidderdale; an area of outstanding natural beauty. Bluebell cottage is an 19th century chocolate box cottage with two luxury en-suite bedrooms sleeping four people, situated in the heart of Lofthouse village in the beautiful Nidderdale valley near Harrogate, York and Skipton. This heavenly abode has been lovingly restored to enchant those looking for a quiet private escape in the Yorkshire Dales. Bluebell Cottage has been beautifully furnished with characterful rustic country style throughout.
Whichever direction you arrive at Bluebell cottage, the scenery will take your breath away, you can enjoy the drive and soak up the countryside. The shops are a short drive away so don’t forget to stop in Pateley Bridge and pick up some fresh produce from the many locally owned traditional stores.
This is the perfect space for everyone. Breakfast lunch or dinner, you will find everything you need in the stylish well equipped kitchen; from a washing machine and dishwasher to egg cups and a toast rack!
A delectable setting for two or a social space for four! Snug sofas and arm chairs with throws and cushions adorning them all. Stack the log burner and cosy up in front of the TV.
The charming and romantic master bedroom has a luxury en-suite bathroom with cast iron claw foot bath calling to you at the end of the day to relax in a haze of bubbles with a chilled glass of prosecco, before falling into the luxury sheets on the super king bed for a fantastic night’s sleep.

To the front of the cottage you can sit on the idyllic bench and watch the world go by or if you prefer a more private setting, move to the side of the property where you can enjoy the sun; from morning until dusk; perfect for brunch or barbeques. This pretty cottage garden has seating amongst the window boxes and potted plants where in the summer months a plethora of colour soothes the soul.

And with miles of stunning walks and mountain bike trails literally from the doorstep, the cottage is heaven for lovers of all things outdoors.
There are countless charming Yorkshire towns and villages close by including Pateley Bridge and Ilkely where you’ll find among other delights the oldest sweet shop in England, a Michelin-starred restaurant and the quintessentially Yorkshire tea-room Bettys. Indulge in a buttery Fat Rascal here before a pleasant stroll along the River Wharf.
A trip to this corner of Yorkshire would not be complete without a day out in Harrogate. This elegant Victorian Spa town is bursting at the seams with antique shops, cafes, independent boutiques and restaurants. The RHS Gardens at Harlow Carr are a must to see.
