See & Do
No matter what time of year, there is always plenty to do and see in The Peaks. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are very special places and a Bakewell pudding in the ancient Market Town is not to be missed. Also within 10 miles are The Heights of Abraham, The Caverns of Castleton and the plague village of Eyam. Group activities could include by bike explore the newly reopened tunnels on the Monsal Trail. Hire bikes locally or bring your own.
On foot walk straight from the door down the beautiful Monsal Dale, with it’s famous Viaduct, or along the many well signposted routes that provide some of the best, most varied walking in the whole of the country. Alternatively, take the short stroll to the Stables Bar or The Packhorse Inn (both of which cater for groups).
“The house was lovely and everyone enjoyed their stay and was impressed with the facilities and how nice all the rooms were – the flowers and the brownies were very nice. The children loved the field and the secret path through the wild section – it enabled them to run around with a bit of freedom whilst being safe and secure for us”
