Tremayne Barn Sleeps 6
Self-catering with style and comfort – all newly converted and refurbished. Set on a small courtyard of original buildings in the grounds of the beautiful house at Cosawes Barton, Tremayne Barn is fitted out to the highest of standards to ensure that you have a wonderful stay. Tremayne Barn has received a Five Star Gold Award rating from Visit England.
It is set out in reverse style with the living room and kitchen/dining room at first floor level and the bedrooms on the ground floor. However as the building is a traditional ‘bank barn’ and built into the hillside, you can access the property from either level.
A fantastic space! Set on a small courtyard of original buildings in the grounds of the beautiful house at Cosawes Barton, the Mill is fitted out to the highest of standards in a really comfortable style. We are delighted to say that Carvosso Mill has been awarded a Five Star Gold Award rating by Visit England.
Carvosso Mill is set out all on one level with ease of access for all – no steps and easy access onto the garden together with a user friendly wet-room. The conversion has a fantastic octagonal full height space which was originally the farm horse engine house or ‘gin-gang’ where a horse would have turned the spindle and powered the farm threshing machine. This space now forms the superbly presented open plan living room and kitchen. The new bedroom areas would have been the stables for the hard working farm horses.
The Linhay at Cosawes Sleeps 6
Tucked at the back of the courtyard, the Linhay at Cosawes is a quiet and peaceful refuge. New for 2014, ir has been converted to exacting standards of luxury – to make sure that your Cornish holiday is everything you hope that it will be!
Although within walking distance of the village centre, Cosawes is tucked away within 17 acres of the most glorious Cornish countryside. Cosawes Barton, Tremayne Barn, Carvosso Mil and The Linhayl each have their own private gardens, but each property also has access to fantastic mixed woodland walks and to our fields beyond
Magic for Children
Children are free to explore the grounds here at Cosawes – we hope that a few new dens will be built by our smaller guests! We have a separate games room in the courtyard well stocked with board games, comfy sofas and a snooker table if time out is needed! New for 2013, we have also installed a Rainbow Play System for the under 10s – out of earshot of the Barn and Mill – but with a fantastic view for adults too! More information
Set in 17 acres, you can explore the garden and woodland walks together. (We would ask though that owners to keeps dogs on leads in the grounds when we have sheep in the fields and please ensure that you do clean up after your pet in the grounds). You can go further afield too – Cosawes is within easy driving distance of coastal paths and beaches that all species can enjoy! www.thecornishcoast.co.uk is a really useful beach guide for dogs and their owners when in Cornwall – showing all the lovely places that you can go together!
Cosawes is centrally located and is ideal for exploring.
For those wanting to take in the fresh air of Cornwall and blow away all stress, the opportunities for enjoying your time in this location are almost endless. From the sailing courses at Mylor Harbour or Stithians reservoir which are available throughout the summer (ideal for older children looking for an active holiday), kayaking days, fishing at Argal Reservoir, glorious cliff walks on the coastal path or cycling the old mining trails – simply take your pick. There are many river and sea trips available daily – our favourite is taking a boat trip to beautiful St Mawes for the day or sailing around the estuary stopping off at either Trelissick Gardens or Smugglers Cottage for a cream tea!
