Welcome to Edge Hill Farm

Edge Hill Farm – Luxury Holiday Cottages – Ross on Wye Herefordshire

Edge Hill Farm is located in a tiny rural hamlet, scattered over the slope of Howle Hill, in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty overlooking the wonderful Wye Valley and with views towards the Royal Forest of Dean.

The Properties

Howle Hideaway – Sleeps 2

Valley View – Sleeps 2

Two delightful, semi-detached, stone-built barn conversions, in a lovely rural setting on an 11 acre smallholding on the slopes of Howle Hill, which overlooks the beautiful Wye Valley. The barns have been lovingly converted to offer high quality accommodation with excellent contemporary fixtures and fittings, yet also retaining a cosy cottage atmosphere, including airy open plan living areas and crackling wood burners.

Both properties have their own delightful patios, ideal for relaxing and dining alfresco while enjoying the surrounding countryside. This is the perfect location for discovering the beautiful Wye Valley and Forest of Dean, with wonderful scenic walks, cycle trails and an abundance of wildlife. Visit the lovely towns of Ross-on-Wye, Ledbury, Monmouth and picturesque Symonds Yat. Two lovely cottages in a tranquil location, perfect for a romantic break at any time of the year.

We usually run Friday to Friday bookings for Howle Hideaway, and Saturday to Saturday for Valley View, although we can still be flexible.

Location & Area

Howle Hill is ideally located between the two delightful historic market towns of Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth, whose timbered Tudor buildings, striking 17th century market halls, majestic bridges, excellent shops, pubs and restaurants suit all tastes.

Stroll along the banks of the beautiful River Wye, take a river cruise or view the stunning countryside from a hot-air balloon! Explore famous Goodrich Castle, a perfect example of a 12th century “Marcher Castle”, or enjoy the renowned walks along Offa’s Dyke and the Wye Valley Walk. Visit beautiful Symonds Yat (4 miles) with its towering rocks where peregrine falcons breed, and take the ferry across the river to the Wye Valley Visitors Centre. Visitors to this area can also enjoy day trips to delightful Hay-on-Wye, the Black Mountains and the scenic Brecon Beacons National Park. Also recommended is a visit to nearby Hereford with its historic cathedral, museums and a tremendous variety of shops and restaurants.
