This immaculately presented stone cottage has been restored to an exceptionally high standard. It cleverly combines the height of modern living with quintessential cottage charm.
The delightful lounge has a welcoming wood-burning stove, leather sofas. An exposed stone wall leads through to the bright, modern kitchen room. All bedrooms are beautifully presented with colour coordinated soft furnishings and with two bathrooms it is ideal for two couples or a family holiday. An ideal spot to sit and admire the view across open countryside to the hills and distant sea views beyond. Originally a 19th century farm cottage, it is situated in a quiet country lane adjoining open farmland, less than 2 miles from the village of Munlochy on the black isle.
Munlochy Bay is also noted for its bird-watching; it is a haven for a wide and diverse range of migratory and wading birds and identified as a site of special scientific interest.
Fishermans Cottage – Bedrooms: 2 Sleeps: 4 Bathrooms: 1
This former fishermen’s net drying house is ideally located in a small village near Inverness, and has been renovated to the highest standard. It is a gorgeous cottage with wooden floors, quality furniture and a wood-burning stove. There are superb views over the Beauly Firth towards the mountains of the west coast.
There is an enclosed garden so very safe for children – and there is lots for them to do in the area. Being by the sea, there are lovely beaches nearby and the city of Inverness is just 10 minutes away – you can go there by a regular bus service if you want to leave the car behind. The village of North Kessock has a tea shop, pub and shop, all within easy walking distance.
Shore View Cottage – Bedrooms: 3 Sleeps: 6 Bathrooms: 2
Converted in May 2017, Shore View cottage is ideally located in a small village near Inverness, and has been renovated to the highest standard. The Cottage has interrupted views over the Beauly and Moray Firths which are home to a school of Bottlenose Dolphins.
The master bedroom complete with bathroom en-suite is on the ground floor whilst the other 2 bedrooms are on the first floor.
The Cottage is very tastefully fitted with high quality flooring and furniture complete with a wood-burning stove.
Being by the sea, there are lovely beaches nearby and the city of Inverness is just 10 minutes away – you can go there by a regular bus service if you want to leave the car behind. Close to the cottage is the Dolphin and Seal Centre where you can find out all about these amazing mammals and even listen to them ‘talking’ to each other on the hydrophones – an incredible experience. The village of North Kessock has a pub and shop, all within easy walking distance.
The house was just fantastic and the owner decorated the house with an excellent taste. It felt like coming home, it was the perfect location.
