The area is great for walking with direct access to Birchden Wood, with the spectacular Harrisons Rocks, and a quarter of a mile up the road is Broadwater Warren, a RSPB reserve of some 450 acres.
The picturesque village of Groombridge is just half a mile away where you can travel back in time by taking the local steam train into Royal Tunbridge Wells.
The village has two country pubs, one overlooking the village cricket ground and one next to the popular Groombridge Place Gardens. For your shopping needs there is a village Post office, a general store and a superb village bakery.

The surrounding countryside is home to some of England’s most splendid castles and historic stately homes. These include Leeds Castle, Tonbridge Castle, Hever Castle, Penshurst Place, Ightham Mote, Knole House, Chartwell and Godinton.
