Just Us Retreats – Quality Glamping in the Mid Devon countryside
Choose between Bathsheba – the shepherd’s hut, set at the top of a sweeping field with incredible views – or Gabriel, the bell tent, tucked away in the seclusion of a sunlit glade within an oak tree copse. Both offer privacy and seclusion…although you may need to share with our resident owls and hares!
Both are perfect for romantic retreats, and the six-metre bell tent is ideal for families, sleeping up to six. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of our charming farm while experiencing glamping in style. Enjoy stunning views and the relaxing atmosphere of the Mid Devon countryside.
A Devon cream tea will be waiting for you on your arrival and you could order a delicious homemade dish from the Farmer’s Wife’s Kitchen Menu, relax in front of an open fire enjoying the stunning views or perhaps you’ll feel more energetic and fancy a game of tennis, the choice is yours.

Due to the remote location, there is no electricity; however, there is mains water. There is a private outdoor hot water shower and a proper flushing loo in a wooden hut. The lighting is solar-powered and we also provide several torches. There is access to a fridge/freezer in a nearby barn and there is a large ice-cool box with ice-packs provided. A washing line is provided should you wish to do some hand washing of laundry. We provide quality bed linen and towels to meet our high standards.
Things to do
Play tennis or walk the ridge
There is a secluded tennis court should you wish to have a game. There are adult- and child-sized tennis rackets and plenty of balls for use at no additional expense, so…anyone for tennis?!
The farm has wonderful walks with outstanding views across the Devon countryside with both Dartmoor and Exmoor often visible. On a clear day you can see the peaks of Hay Tor, Dartmoor, from our famous ridge walk. There is a public footpath along this ridge which runs along one of the farm boundaries. So bring your walking boots or wellies and enjoy the delights of rural Devon.
