Keeper’s Barn – Romantic Haven in The Cotswolds
Deep within the heart of The Bathurst Estate (or Cirencester Park, as it’s known locally) one of Gloucestershire’s most historic privately owned estates covering about 16,000 acres of the County and family seat of The Earls & Countesses Bathurst since 1695, there lies Keepers Barn
KEEPER’S BARN is an absolutely picture perfect conversion. Sleeping 2 (+1) it provides a romantic haven for any couple, a small family, or an individual hoping to find a quiet retreat off the beaten track. This idyllic little gem is the ideal place to really discover peace, surrounded as it is with tranquillity, and beautiful countryside – the views are truly quite spectacular. AT THE HEART of a working arable and dairy farm, Keeper’s is just a stone’s throw from Clover Barn, yet far enough away to ensure utter privacy.

Deep within the heart of a working arable and dairy farm, Keeper’s is just a stone’s throw from Clover Barn, yet far enough away to ensure utter privacy. As with Clover Barn, it has been lovingly refurbished (and renamed.. It used to be under the gamekeeper’s watchful eye – hence ‘Keeper’s Barn) by The Countess Bathurst and is regularly on the receiving end of her little ‘finds’ – whether it’s a new rug or a pretty dish, there is always a place for a treasure to be added to make it even cosier. The Local Area
Sapperton is a traditional village with wonderfully classic Cotswold buildings and it overlooks the old Thames and Severn canal. Rarely is it possible to stay in one of the Cotswolds prettiest villages and one which is located within one of the area’s finest Country Estates, The Bathurst Estate.
Cirencester is the nearest delightful market town (with plenty of supermarkets) and only a few miles away, with an excellent selection of shops, restaurants and a thriving Farmers Market, as well a huge number of attractions including The Cirencester Park Polo Club where Prince Harry and Prince William regularly play. (As a gift from The Countess Bathurst, summer and early autumn guests at Apsley Cottage will be able to enjoy membership of The Polo Club during the length of their stay).
“Wonderful location, so relaxing, we all enjoyed it here and will be coming back! Thank you!”
“Enjoyed our 2nd stay in this charming barn! Looking forward to booking again in the near future. Thank you!”
A perfect location to celebrate your 50th birthday. The welcome basket along with champagne and card from Lady Bathurst and Ginny was a really thoughtful thing to do.
