The Snowdonia Mountains and Coast not only has the high adrenalin challenges of the National Park but also the seaside charm with coastline walks and numerous coves to explore. Or, unleash the sports enthusiast in you and go surfing at Surf Snowdonia/Adventure Parc, the world-first inland surf lagoon, or dare to experience the longest Zip Wire in Europe, Tree Top Adventures, Go-Below Caverns, Marin Bike trails together with Mount Snowdon which all prove to be a unique world class opportunities for adventure.
For walkers and cyclist alike explore the many walking opportunities spread through the Welsh countryside or bike trails in the area. Other local attractions worth a visit include the National Trust’s Bodnant Gardens, Portmeirion, Slate Caverns and numerous castles. For the Foodies there is a wealth of new Welsh food products for you to sample at the Bodnant Welsh Food Centre or the numerous eateries and restaurants in the area. And for the Artists and photographers amongst you, you cannot fail to be inspired by the breathtaking scenery surrounding you. After a day exploring the area return to this beautifully restored 17thC cottage. If it’s cold outside, simply turn on the wood burning gas stove in the inglenook fireplace and relax on the comfy sofas or the easy chair to watch the 40’’ Freeview TV/DVD or play games in this tastefully decorated lounge amid a selection of Welsh Antique furniture.
From this roomy lounge, French doors then lead you through to the spacious kitchen diner where you will find an electric oven, hob and microwave, an American style fridge/freezer with ice maker, an integrated washer/dryer and dishwasher and all the equipment you need to cook up a feast. Then gather round the large dining table in the centre of this farmhouse style kitchen/diner to chat about the day’s events and plan the next day’s adventure. Or if it’s sunny outside, why not open the French doors which lead you from this kitchen/diner onto the patio to dine al-fresco or use the BBQ, then soak up the evening sunshine relaxing in the luxury all-weather rattan garden furniture which includes 2 sun loungers and enjoy the magnificent views of the Snowdonia Mountain Range. There is also a convenient downstairs loo/cloakroom.
Following a lovely evening unwinding what you then need is a good night’s sleep in one of the truly romantic bedrooms. There is a spacious double room that has a king size bed, antique pine furniture a TV and an en-suite bathroom with a roll-top bath, toilet and basin. Opposite the landing you will find the twin room with comfortable 3ft beds with white and pine furniture and an en-suite with a shower, toilet and basin. Both rooms have been very tastefully furnished and include lots of lovely little touches. Both rooms are decorated to a high standard using co-ordinated soothing colours to create a relaxing, calming ambience.
Step inside this easy living one level cottage and straight away you will find a well thought out space that has everything you could possibly need. At the doorway, drop off your coats and boots, the hallway then leads you into a spacious contemporary glossy white kitchen, with an electric oven, hob and microwave, an American style fridge/freezer with ice maker, an integrated washer/dryer and dishwasher and all the equipment you need to cook up an amazing meal. At the centre of this spacious bright room there is a large table which you can gather round to enjoy a meal with a beautiful view as the backdrop.
On warmer days, open the French doors that lead on to the patio which is a great space for a spot for al-fresco dining or a sizzling summer BBQ. Then crack open a bottle of bubbly for the perfect summer evening enjoying the views of the Snowdonia Mountain Range.
From the kitchen another set of French doors will lead you into the lounge with comfy leather sofas and easy chair in which you can relax to watch the 40” TV/DVD with Freeview or enjoy a bottle of wine in front of the wall mounted gas fire, which gives the room a modern but cosy flourish.
Both bedrooms lead off the hallway, and each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom. To the right the double bedroom has a king size bed TV and the en-suite includes a shower/jacuzzi bath to enjoy a soak after a day hiking a toilet and basin. To the left the twin room has 3ft beds, with a shower, toilet and basin. The bedrooms have been tastefully decorated to carry through the contemporary theme of this cottage, and the furnishings and finishing touches carefully chosen to create relaxing spaces for the perfect night’s sleep.
THE OLD COACH HOUSE
Welcome to this charming and beautifully restored, converted Coach House. Brimming with character, original features have been lovingly retained such as the original stable door on which the Stable Hand wrote his diary and the window sill that has been chewed away by the horses that pulled the Coach.
As you step inside, kick off your boots and hang up your coats above the radiator to keep them warm for your next outing. Leading off this hallway, you will find the kitchen/diner which leads to one of the patio areas, and the bathroom and twin bedroom. The Kitchen / Diner is decorated in a Cath Kidston / Retro style with patio window/French doors built into the stable door opening. The Country Cream kitchen has an electric oven, hob and microwave, an American style fridge/freezer with ice maker, an integrated washer/dryer, dishwasher, television and all the equipment you need to cook up a quick and simple or gourmet meal, which can then be enjoyed at the dining table with comfortable leather high back chairs.
Next to the bathroom is the twin bedroom, a cosy room full of charm with 2ft 6 beds and country cream furniture and beautifully co-ordinated luxury soft furnishings.
After a long journey or a day exploring, enjoy a lovely soak in the P shape jacuzzi bath/shower in the delightfully decorated bathroom with fluffy towels warming on the heated towel rail.
Head up the short staircase to take advantage of the stunning views of the hills and the mountains beyond from this cosy beamed living room with comfy leather sofa and 2 armchairs. Enjoy a bottle of wine or your favourite tipple in front of the warm gas log burning effect stove for a cosy winter evening or watch your favourite film or programme on the 40” TV with DVD player.
When you are ready to turn in for a good night’s sleep, simply step into the main bedroom which leads from the lounge. This charming beamed bedroom has a French style king size bed with a blend of old pine and shabby chic white furniture and luxury bedding.
Every inch of this cottage has been carefully planned and thought out with lots of lovely little touches to make your stay enchanting, pleasing and memorable. The Coach House has the benefit of 2 patio areas where you can either enjoy your breakfast in the morning sunshine overlooking the antics of the ducks and chickens or an evening BBQ looking out at the sunset over the magnificent Snowdonia Mountain Range. We welcome 1 dog at £5 per night.
