May Cottage is a delightful Cotswolds cottage on one level. The cottage has been totally refurbished and extended to include a master bedroom, luxury bathroom and conservatory. Off-road parking, lovely gardens and a log fire.
May Cottage offers free WiFi and 3 flat screen TVs. The cottage consists of outer hall, inner hall, kitchen with Italian travertine floors and a huge living room, with marble fireplace, for which logs are provided, and French doors to a patio at the back. Leading from the living room is a glass door to a heated conservatory, again with travertine floor, and double doors to a master bedroom with Queen-sized bed, silk curtains, and contemporary furniture. The en-suite bathroom has under floor heating, separate bath and walk-in shower. The second bedroom, which also has separate access to the bathroom has twin beds and fitted furniture. All are very light and peaceful, and warmed by central heating.
Outside, there are gardens to front and side, with a private BBQ area towards the back. The living room and conservatory open onto a private patio with table and chairs enclosed by pretty Cotswold walls. There is parking for two cars and the cottage is very quiet.
The cottage faces open country but is only within a few minutes walk from the famous market Square. May Cottage is a non-smoking establishment.
Stow-on-the-Wold Heart of the famous Cotswolds
Stow-on-the-Wold is a small, historic market town – the epitome of the Cotswold kind, with interesting shops, first class restaurants, brasseries, small coffee shops and old pubs – including the oldest Inn in England – clustered around the ancient market square with its stocks and many fascinating old buildings and alleyways.
Although it has a large modern supermarket, it also has excellent delicatessens, butcher, baker and organic shops. Best known for its many antique shops and art galleries, there are many lovely gift shops. All are within 2-4 minutes of May Cottage.
