Nannerth Country Holidays -Self Catering farm Cottages in Mid Wales
Nannerth Fawr Farm is a traditional 200 acre organic Welsh hill farm, set in the peaceful Wye Valley Mid Wales. With the spectacular hills of the Elan Valley behind, tranquil pastures in front and bordered by the River Wye in beautiful Mid Wales.
The farm cottages have been restored and converted into stylish and comfortable self catering properties. Of varying sizes and locations they offer a good range to suit families, couples and groups of friends. We can accommodate from 2 to 18 people and also offer camping in various secluded locations on the farm. Two of the properties have garden areas which link to the pretty farmyard garden while the Loft apartment is above the farmhouse, with its own deck area. The Granary and the Tollant also each have a hot tub in the garden/deck areas. Guests can easily access the farm facilities which include a laundry room, outdoor play area, Ty Bach with shower and resource room. Meadows and woodland are all around the cottages and most areas of the farm are free for holiday guests to explore.
We also can offer a choice of stylish caravans for you to choose from

A Sustainable Green Holiday, Powys, Mid Wales
At Nannerth Country Holidays we aim to run our business in a sustainable way which means not taking out more than we put in and not damaging or depleting natural resouces. We first entered the Green Tourism Business Scheme in 2013 and were very pleased to be awarded the top Gold award.
Our sustainable tourism practices include:
•Bringing redundant farm buildings back into use
•Restoration and repair of holiday cottages and buildings using reclaimed and locally sourced materials
•High levels of insulation
•Solar hot water panels, PVs, a biomass district heating system and logs from the farm provide most of the heating, hot water and energy.
•As far as possible using ‘green’ cleaning products
•Activities provided on the farm to reduce car use
•Providing bikes for guests to borrow
•Recycling actively encouraged
•Energy efficient white goods and light bulbs used
The Local Area
This is an excellent area for laid back outdoor holidays where relaxation is a priority. Guests return many times to enjoy the varied walking, birdwatching and outdoor activities here as well as to experience life on an old fashioned working farm, with animals free to roam outdoors and traditional seasonal work such as haymaking and lambing.
The Cottages are hour from the sea and the university town of Aberystwyth and an hour or so from the Cathedral city of Hereford, Hay on Wye town of books and the beautiful March area. Rugged Snowdonia lies to the north and the Brecon Beacons to the south. Driving is pleasant on uncrowded roads, but there is plenty to do on the farm and nearby.
