Boutique style self-catering cottages, a stone’s throw from the west coast of Wales
Nestling in the hills of Ceredigion in west Wales, a short drive from the dramatic Cardigan Bay coastline is Parc-yr-Hebog, offering luxury boutique style self-catering accommodation in a converted stone barn (sleeps 4) and a cottage (sleeps 2).
Listed by The Sunday Times as one of the UK’s 100 coolest cottages, it’s the perfect place to get away from it all – for a romantic long weekend or an activity filled family holiday.
Cardigan Bay boasts long sandy beaches and a rich marine life. Within a few miles are the unspoilt fishing villages of Llangrannog and Tresaith and the coastal towns of Aberaeron and New Quay – a little further afield is the cultural capital of Wales, Aberystwyth. If you want true escapism, head inland to the hills and Cambrian mountains of west Wales, or into the western Brecon Beacons – you could walk for hours without seeing anything other than undiluted, natural beauty and a red kite or two circling overhead.
The barn can sleep up to 4 people in two bedrooms – one master double bedroom, with an adjoining bathroom with a huge shower and a separate free-standing roll-top bath; and a twin-room, with en-suite shower room, which also has a sauna to warm up after a long day on the mountains.
Boasting unique interiors by Ann Hughes, all cosied up in Melin Tregwynt soft furnishings, the converted stone barn at Parc-yr-Hebog offers Scandinavian style with a Welsh twist.
A beautiful yet functional kitchen, with everything you need for a self-catering holiday from an espresso maker to dishwasher, sits in a beautiful double-height room with the original stone walls and natural standstone flooring.
Above the kitchen, in the mezzanine, is a lovely airy lounge-diner. With huge, comfy leather sofas, it’s the perfect place to truly relax. Open the patio doors to your private balcony and enjoy lunch outside whilst enjoying the views to the Cambrian mountains beyond. It’s also the perfect place to cosy up on a cold winter’s night, and enjoy a film.
Boutique Cottage for Two
With a grand hallway, stunning wallpapers, huge comfy bed, glamorous shower room, and the perfect mix of antique and contemporary, the interiors of the cottage at Parc-yr-Hebog wouldn’t look out of place in the latest boutique hotel. It’s the perfect place for couples looking for a glamorous get-away, but with the flexibility and freedom of self-catering.
Split over two floors, the under-floor heated ground floor offers a hand-crafted kitchen and shower room, whilst the upstairs room has a lounge-diner overlooking the Cambrian mountains and large double/twin bedroom. Outside, there is a private parking space and patio area.
