Stay on the Hill – Stunning holiday accommodation in the heart of Northumberland
If you are looking to escape for a holiday or special break to the heart of the majestic Northumberland countryside Stay on the Hill offers two idyllic holiday cottages to rent. Ideally situated to explore the Tyne Valley, Hadrian’s Wall and beyond this is a walkers paradise. Incredible panoramic views and luxury accommodation is what you can expect during your stay on the hill.
The recently refurbished three-bedroom Laverick Cottage and one-bedroom Bothy sit on the hill overlooking the River Tyne with fabulous views across the local countryside. These cottages have private gardens and offer guests peace and tranquillity in a self-catering environment.
The Laverick Cottage is the ultimate of Rural Retreats. It is a luxury 3 bedroom country cottage situated a stone’s throw from Hadrian’s Wall. Perched on the hill with outstanding views over the North Tyne and surrounding Northumbrian countryside. The cottage has been lovingly resorted and decorated to a high standard.
The Laverick cottage is the ideal escape for those looking to explore the delights of rural Northumberland and beyond.
The Bothy is a one bedroom romantic retreat surrounded by spectacular Northumberland scenery. It’s a unique bolthole in a dramatic and remote setting.
From past experience a ‘Bothy’ is no more than a stone tent offering very basic accommodation. This bothy, however is something else! It’s an upmarket sanctuary in an elevated position with stunning views across the local countryside.
Northumberland has without a doubt some of the most stunning scenery and wildlife around and plays host to some of the best beaches in the country, this is probably why people keep coming back time after time. It is England’s most northern county and offers two Areas of Outstanding Beauty (AONB) the least populated National Park in the UK, more Castles and Historic Sites than any other county, attractive countryside and a glorious Heritage coastline.
