The Hyning Estate – Award winning luxury accommodation The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.
The Hyning Estate has been extensively renovated and redeveloped by local craftsmen to provide a small number of select holiday dwellings of outstanding quality on the new boundary of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks.
The properties all benefit from triple glazing and heating is provided by a combination of solar thermal panels and a ground source heat pump supported by heat recovery & ventilation systems which together assure you of a draft free, warm and cosy welcome. Each property also has an attractive wood burning stove.
Several of the properties link together to form larger spaces suitable for groups and for family celebrations which can also be booked alongside smaller cottages and we can often provide catering for an event if arranged in advance at the time of booking.
Every dwelling is different with each having its own charm and period or architectural features such as the beamed ceiling in The Old Farmhouse, the pitched roof-space in The Granary or the roof-top patio in The Old Forge.

“It’s within easy drive of so many amazing walks and pretty villages”
“You will not be disappointed with this property – get booked up; if you can find the availability!!!”
The place is actually better than the pictures and the quality of the fixtures and fittings is probably the highest in any place we have visited in years. It made for a very peaceful break for the 12 of us and would recommend Hyning House to anyone.
Perfect location and fantastic facilities – better than being at home! Everything has been thought of and Richard and Jan are on hand if anything else is needed Fabulous place
