Lanreath is a village in South East Cornwall, five miles west of Looe. Lanreath is rural in character with a local shop and Post Office as well as a parish church. There are a number of ghost stories associated with Lanreath. The best-known features a ghost in black driving a coach pulled by a headless horse. Lanreath is a quiet, pleasant place offering easy access to the coast, the moors, National Trust properties and Cornwall's famous gardens.

The village of Lanreath isn't far from the lodge with a small selection of amenities, such as a village shop and a Post Office, and the nearby Pelynt has a wider array of shops and pubs. The large fishing port of Looe is only a short drive away, which has a fabulous sandy beach. Polperro a historic fishing village is equally easy to get to. For those keen walkers, there are many south west coastal path walks within easy reach, why not go and explore the beautiful Polperro Heritage coast.
