7a Cathedral Green - Holiday Cottage, Wells, Somerset

Accessed via a wrought iron gate into the south facing front garden with wonderful cathedral views. A backdoor from the kitchen leads into a small courtyard and rear entrance, leading to the parking space at the rear.

The famous West Front of the Cathedral provides a backdrop to this two storey terraced property, from where everything the city has to offer is within easy walking distance. Wells lies on the southern tip of a triangle with Bath and Bristol to the north. The 13th Century Cathedral, with 300 statues on the spectacular West Front, is the jewel of the city but there are many other visitor attractions including the nearby 14th Century moated Bishop’s Palace and the Vicars Close – said to be the oldest continually inhabited street in Europe. However, the modern world is here too, including a bustling twice weekly farmers’ market selling a wide variety of local produce. If you don’t want to cook, there are also plenty of cafes and restaurants in the town’s pretty streets.
