Beach Cottage - Luxury Cottage in East Sussex

Beach Cottage is one of the most enviably located holiday homes in Pevensey Bay, boasting a private garden that opens directly onto the beach.

Picture yourself waking up to bright blue skies and the sun shimmering on the sea — perfect for a refreshing early morning swim before breakfast.

Set in a peaceful and unspoiled stretch of East Sussex coastline, this charming beachfront retreat offers a true escape from the everyday.

With two double bedrooms, Beach Cottage comfortably sleeps up to four guests, making it ideal for couples, families, or friends seeking a relaxing seaside getaway.

The cottage is bathed in natural light thanks to expansive windows and French doors that open out onto the terrace, creating a seamless connection between indoors and out.

Inside, the open-plan layout is bright and inviting. Two cosy sofas face the fireplace and TV, though the stunning sea views may well steal your attention. A dining area with benches is cleverly positioned by the windows, while a separate sofa offers a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the coastal panorama. It’s holiday living at its best.

The fully equipped kitchen makes self-catering easy, featuring an oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, cafetière, and all necessary cookware, plus a washing machine and separate tumble dryer.

The family bathroom includes a bath with overhead shower, and we provide complimentary toiletries, soft towels, and crisp white bed linen. For guests bringing bikes or water sports equipment, a secure side passage offers convenient storage.

Whether you’re visiting in summer for beach days and al fresco meals, or in the cooler months for bracing seaside walks and storm-watching, Beach Cottage offers year-round comfort, thanks to its fully adjustable gas central heating.

About the area

Assuming that you can be drawn away from your garden and the beach at some point, Pevensey high street is just a few minutes walk away with cafes, shops and pubs. As well as the wonderful beach walks ramblers should also head for Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters within the South Downs National Park, a short drive or bus trip away.

The Pevensey area is full of historic treats given that William the Conqueror landed here in 1066 and changed the course of English history, such as Pevensey and Herstmonceux Castles.

From Pevensey, it’s a very short 10 minute drive to Bexhill, where you can find the De La Warr contemporary art gallery and performance centre, with its popular cafe overlooking the sea.
