Ground Floor:
Reception room
With windows opening over the front formal gardens.
Billiards room
With billiards table and a gas fired, open fronted cast stove.
Accessed via ancient masonry doorways are the two ground floor bedrooms in the North Tower:
The Garden bedroom
With a 5' king-size has an en-suite wet room set into the curve of the spiral staircase to the Solar and access to a lawned, courtyard garden at the base of the North Tower.
The Adam de Blencowe bedroom
With a 6' super-king size bed (which can convert to 3' twin single beds on request) with en-suite bathroom with a bath and a separate shower.
Snug
A cosy snug.
Butler's pantry and the formal Dining Room are at the front of the South Tower.
Down a passage into the West Range are the breakfasting kitchen and utility rooms. Kitchen with four door oven gas Aga, a separate Bosch hob, Bosch electric oven. Two American style side by side refrigerators, microwave, two Bosch dishwashers, Bosch washing machine and tumble dryer.
The utility area has a second sink, extensive storage and another ground floor cloakroom.The kitchen's ancient inglenook fireplace has been adapted as a secondary seating area with a two storey children's hideaway built up in its massive chimney.

First Floor:
The Solar,
The largest reception room occupies the entire first floor of the North Tower and has two stone fireplaces.
The West Range
Master bedroom with a (6' super-king size bed) includes a step up luxurious en-suite with a spacious walk through shower and cast iron roll top bath.
The Greystoke Room
With 3' twin single beds and an en-suite bathroom.
The Cumberland Room
With a 5' four poster bed and en-suite bathroom.
The Petteril Room
With a 6' super-king size bed.
The Norfolk Room
With twin 3' beds.
Family bathroom
With a bath, shower, wash basin and WC.
Henry de Blencowe Room
With a 5' antique bed and an en-suite bathroom with a cast iron roll top bath and a separate shower.
Cromwell's Folly
Occupies the first floor of the South Tower and has a 5' four poster, en-suite bathroom with cast iron roll top bath, separate shower and a Juliette balcony.

Second Floor:
Accessed by a spiral staircase leading to the top of the North Tower which continues to the North Tower battlements are
The North Tower Master Bedroom
With a 5' four poster bed and an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower and cast iron bath
Lady Jane Grey Bedroom
With twin 3' single zip and link beds which can convert to 6' super-king size bed on request. En-suite bathroom and a separate shower.
The South Tower Master Bedroom (accessed via a private stairwell)
With a 6' four poster bed and a private dressing room and en-suite bathroom with separate shower.

Outside:
Lawned gardens with patio and large Weber barbecue with locally sourced charcoal provided for guest use and sustainable plantation outdoor furniture.
Ample on-site parking.

Travel cot and highchair available on request.

We would politely ask you to keep your pets to the ground floor and do not allow them onto the furniture.
HOT TUB INFORMATION The owners would be happy for the guests to hire a Hot Tub at the property.This can be arranged with Leigh at Cumbria Hot Tub Hire - 07703 046523 or contact@cumbriahottubhire.co.uk. The owners will asks for a £30 surcharge to be added to the reservation to cover the cost of extra water and electricity used.
