Light, airy and with a beautiful, contemporary décor, Burlorne is the perfect holiday home for Cornish adventures on the North coast. With a soothing colour palette throughout, the spacious rooms, large reception area, modern kitchen and ample conservatory are the perfect setting for memorable family moments. In the sitting room is a warming electric fire place, television and french doors leading out to the terrace and pool area. The kitchen is fully-equipped with everything needed to cook up a feast; gather family and friends around the dining table and enjoy your home cooked meal. Upstairs are four cosy yet modern bedrooms which boast whisper-soft beds for a peaceful night’s sleep; bedrooms one and two have plush king-size beds, the further two rooms have cosy twin single beds. Personal touches throughout Burlorne make it a true ‘home from home’.

Stepping outside, Burlorne has the added advantage of an outdoor heated swimming pool (available to use from the beginning of June to the end of September) where families and friends can cool off from the summer sun. Long afternoons can be spent lounging on the sunny patio and children can play amongst the lush grass of the wrap-around garden – there’s also a barbecue for hosting freshly-grilled suppers with loved ones, whilst sipping on something cool and refreshing.

In terms of incredible locations, Burlorne couldn’t be better situated to take advantage of the breath-taking beaches, hidden coves and picturesque coastal villages of popular North Cornwall.

About the area

Located in the estuary of the River Camel, the village of Rock can be found directly adjacent to the harbour port of Padstow and only a few miles from charming coastal villages and luscious beaches. Rock its self is a renowned boat and water-sports haven due to its long sandy beach, ideal for sailing, water skiing and windsurfing; try out one of these unique sports at The Camel Ski School. Once you’ve had enough of the water, sit back and enjoy the stunning views across the estuary and some of the best skyscapes in the region.

Catch a ferry over to the picturesque fishing village of Padstow and its stunning harbour. Renown for its culinary brilliance, a trip here is not complete without a stop at Rick Stein’s; try something different head over to his cookery school and learn to cook some of his signature dishes. There are many wonderful restaurants to try including Prawn on the Lawn, an award-winning seafood restaurant; as well as the Michelin Star awarded Paul Ainsworth at Number 6.

A short drive away is the stunning Polzeath beach; a must visit for surfers. Perfect for both the most experienced or if you are looking to learn head to the Surf’s Up School. This large and sandy beach is also home to a nature reserve and some great rock pools to explore.

Explore rich local history, mixed with myth and legend at the specular Tintagel Castle. Walk among the castle ruins, find early-medieval remains and locate the life-size bronze statue of an ancient king. Don’t forget to venture into Merlin’s Cave, down below at sea level.
