Chase House - Luxury Manor House with Hot Tub and Gardens in Tollard Royal - Dog Friendly

Set within a magnificent 7,000-acre estate in the pretty village of Tollard Royal, this impressive historic property offers a luxurious countryside escape, with a traditional village pub within walking distance. The Saxon hilltop town of Shaftesbury (8 miles) provides shops, supermarkets and restaurants, while the surrounding estate offers wonderful walking routes, cycling opportunities and an 18-hole parkland golf course. Nearby Victorian Pleasure Gardens are within walking distance, while Salisbury Cathedral and the New Forest National Park make excellent day trips.

Full of historic character, the house welcomes guests through an ancient oak door into a magnificent medieval hall with flagged flooring and a huge open fireplace. The adjoining Tudor dining room features beautiful oak panelling and an original fireplace, while the spacious, well-equipped kitchen provides everything needed for entertaining, including an electric range-style oven, hob, coffee machine, microwave, large fridge/freezer, drinks fridge and dishwasher. A separate utility and larder room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom and WC.

Upstairs, an impressive drawing room offers a wonderful space to relax, with garden views and another open fireplace. The first floor has four beautifully appointed bedrooms, including three super-king-size zip-and-link rooms (which can be arranged as twins on request) and a luxurious king-size master bedroom with dressing area. Three bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms, while a separate family bathroom completes this floor. A further staircase leads to the second floor, where a single bedroom leads through to an attic bedroom with a super-king-size zip-and-link bed, which can also be arranged as twins, and a cosy reading area. A further bathroom with bath and separate shower completes the accommodation.

Outside, beautifully maintained private gardens provide a peaceful setting for enjoying the surrounding countryside, with a wood-fired hot tub offering the perfect place to unwind. For larger groups, the adjoining Chase Lodge can also be booked alongside the house. With its own entrance, spacious lounge, two large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and well-equipped kitchen, it provides additional accommodation while retaining its own privacy.
