Enter through the impressive grand hallway, with soaring proportions, period details and a sweeping staircase setting the tone for this remarkable home. Original character combines with stylish interiors, antiques and modern comforts. Relax beside the wood burner in the lounge, unwind with a book in the library or gather in the magnificent Drawing Room, complete with sumptuous furnishings and a striking four-metre-high fireplace. The Chapel Lounge provides another atmospheric space, while the cinema room offers private film nights. The handmade kitchen is ideal for group dining, with high-quality appliances and a generous marble preparation table, while the dining area seats 12. Evenings can continue in the games room with pool and board games.
Ten individually designed bedrooms offer boutique-hotel comfort, with luxurious mattresses, wool toppers and views across the gardens or Cumbrian countryside. The accommodation includes king-size, super-king-size and twin rooms, plus a dormitory with three bunk beds sleeping six. Four bedrooms feature zip-and-link beds, allowing twin configurations when requested. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, with several enjoying roll-top, copper or outdoor baths. A dedicated treatment room is due to open in November 2026.
Outside, 3 acres of gardens provide plenty of space to relax, with a four-person copper hot tub, BBQ, fire pit, outdoor pizza oven and garden seating. Ample private parking makes the house ideal for large groups travelling together.
