Harbour Master’s House is a spectacular coastal property, occupying a magnificent position on the harbour front of Portreath. Set across three floors with balconies and sea views, the property is minutes away from an excellent surfing beach and many local amenities.

This beautifully completed coastline residence is set on the harbour wall, benefiting from uninterrupted harbour views, and onto Portreath beach beyond. Great thought has been put into the house’s decor, evident through the high quality furniture and furnishings presented. Contemporary features add to the light and airy feel throughout the living areas, and the numerous balconies with harbour views further compliment the accommodation.

The three-storey property begins on the ground floor with and a spacious entrance lobby, ideal for storing walking boots and outdoor coats; or to dry off little ones and sandy dogs after a day on the beach. Two good-sized en-suite bedrooms lead off the hallway; one with a double bed and with zip and link beds that can be configured as twin single beds or a super-king size bed on request. One of the en-suites features a bath and separate shower, a great option for families with small children.

Ascend the stairs and discover the spacious first floor open-plan living area with stylish, well-equipped kitchen, dining area comfortably seating eight diners and a cosy sitting area with a wood burning stove and smart television. Bi-fold doors lead to the spectacular terrace with outdoor seating and fabulous views out to sea and over the busy harbour. The terrace is the perfect spot to watch the world go by, be it morning coffee in the sunshine, al-fresco dining with a leisurely lunch, or watching the sun set in the evening.

Continuing up the stairs to the second floor are two more en-suite bedrooms. One features another convenient zip and link bed that can be set up as twin single beds or as a super-king size bed, and the other being the beautiful master bedroom with a stylish king-size bed, smart television and two balconies; one looking to the harbour and Portreath beach; the other looking out to sea.

About the area

Portreath has a lovely golden, sandy beach which is popular for swimming, surfing and kayaking. The historic harbour at Portreath is part of UNESCO’s World Heritage Site in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The village also has a varied selection of independent shops, restaurant and cafes, with the iconic Gull Rock and superb beach, Portreath is one of the most delightful seaside resorts in Cornwall.

Of course there are also many other beaches to visit if you feel the need.
