Accommodation Description

You enter into the wooden floored hall and immediately feel the cosy homeliness of this charming house. Downstairs you find the generous lounge, comfortably furnished with a real fire, perfect for relaxing in front of during the winter months to watch a film, a play a game or make use of the WiFi. The smart TV enables guests to log into their own streaming account for your own recommended viewing or pair their device with the music speakers to stream from their personal music accounts. The Kitchen is a feature of the house is the large bespoke modern kitchen with extendable dining table. This is truly stunning and the beautiful stone flagged under heated floor makes it particularly cosy and a favourite for our canine guests. This spacious open plan room is perfect for extended family celebrations which many of our guests take advantage of. This exceptional light and airy room has patio doors which lead to the stunning indoor swimming pool room. Downstairs also we have our newly refurbished accessible bedroom suite. The large suite includes a sofa and zip and link beds which can be made up either as twin beds or a super king sized bed for added versatility. The bed can be raised for anyone should it be required and there is plenty of space for wheelchair access around the room. The ensuite wet room is suitable for disabled use with lowered sink, shower seat and grab rails.

About the area

Home Farm is in the very centre of the quaint village of Scalby on the northern edge of Scarborough. The village boasts an excellent gastro pub, as well as a traditional welcoming pub, tearooms, a well stocked general store and newsagents and also a beauty salon, all within a few hundred yards of Home Farm.

Originally an 18th Century farm house, Home Farm has been tastefully extended and modernised to provide luxurious family holiday accommodation. Ideal for extended family holidays, breaks or as the venue to celebrate a special occasion the house has everything you will need during your stay. The owners have managed to mix old school charm with contemporary fittings and furnishings. Superb facilities include a stunning indoor swimming pool room perfect for the family to exercise and play. The pool is also very popular when the weather is not so kind.

The large house sleeps twelve guests. There is a ground floor accessible bedroom and wet room and the house is suitable for wheelchair users. The house can be rented sleeping ten without the ground floor suite giving flexibility.

Scalby on the northern edge of Scarborough. There is a choice of eateries including an excellent gastro pub, as well as a traditional welcoming pub and tearooms. There is also a general store and newsagents. A short drive will bring you to Scarborough with fun for the whole family as well as two wonderful golden beaches.
