Humbleton Cottage is a superbly presented, detached former shooting lodge in the heart of rural Northumberland. Luxurious and full of character Humbleton cottage perches on a hilltop with stunning, panoramic views of the Tyne Valley below. Beautifully furnished throughout, providing spacious, traditional accommodation over two floors, the cottage is ideal for friends or families who want to spend time together in a stunning, peaceful location. Coming through the front door you enter into the main lounge, dining and kitchen area. This is a fabulous space with vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and trusses and a feature stone fireplace with woodburning stove. There is also a dining table that comfortably seats six and a spacious and well-equipped kitchen with range cooker. Built on a hillside Humbleton is set out on two levels, a small spiral staircase from the sitting area takes you to the sun room with a desk and chair, French doors lead out to a small patio area where you can sit back and relax and just take in the amazing views of the valley below. Two comfortable bedrooms are on the lower level and both have beautiful floor to ceiling windows making them light, airy and inviting. The large bathroom is also on the lower level and has a spacious corner shower room with travertine tiles and feature basin. To the front of the cottage there is a charming walled garden with lawned area, perfect for alfresco dining or even just relaxing with a good book and enjoying the countryside, as the day draws to a close, take time to sit quietly and gaze at the stars, with little light pollution in the area this is an amazing location to watch the sky come to life. The village of Haydon Bridge, and the market towns of Haltwhistle, Corbridge and Hexham are close to this Northumberland cottage, and are well worth exploring.
