This luxury lodge is contemporary in style, and light filled throughout, with a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area with a modern wood burning stove. Large double sliding doors lead out to the deck, the hot tub and lakeside grounds, teaming with wildlife. The beautifully furnished accommodation provides flexible living with two ground floor double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, and on the first floor is a twin children’s bedroom and a colourful den and playroom with day bed, both off a bright landing with a desk/study area.

Guests can enjoy relaxing in the hot tub on the deck whilst gazing at the wildlife in and around the lake, or enjoy an alfresco meal or picnic watching the resident geese and ducks swim by. There are numerous species of fish within this special protected lake which can only be used by a few privileged Dorset Springs members, and guests will be able to watch should a catch be made by a lucky fisherman! Lakeside Lodge is ideally situated for those looking for a special break in a superb and unique location, whilst also being well placed for trips to nearby Wimborne, Poole, Bournemouth or Dorchester. The Jurassic Coast, the Isle of Purbeck, Corfe Castle and Studland are all within easy reach. Stroll along to the centre of the village of Sturminster Marshall where there is a local shop and pub, and there are many neighbouring charming Dorset villages to explore, making Lakeside Lodge a perfect base for your Dorset adventure.

About the area

Lakeside Lodge occupies a delightful, peaceful setting approached through a shared gated entrance and along a quarter mile gravel track, and is just five miles from the pretty market town of Wimborne Minster.

Historic Wimborne Minister offers numerous restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs, and a variety of both boutique and nationwide shops. The weekend brings the famous Wimborne Market to town, where you can source quality local produce including a butchers, bakers, fishmonger, fruit and cheese stands,alongside antique and collectable vintage stalls.

The 1930's art deco Tivoli Theatre provides entertainment for all, with its live stage and screen performances.

Situated on the edge of Wimborne, one of the largest model towns in England, provides a fun day out for all ages, with a crazy golf course, pretty gardens and tea room.

The nearest beaches can be found at Bournemouth and Poole, both offering long sandy beaches, with excellent and safe bathing water. Poole Harbour is Europe's largest natural harbour and provides a stunning location for all types of water sports and sailing, fringed with unspoilt woodland and coastal walks.

A little further afield you can explore the Isle of Purbeck and stunning Jurassic coastline, with the iconic Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove.

Superb walks start from your doorstep with well signposted footpaths and bridleways to explore, and attractive village lanes.

A very short distance from the property is one of Dorset’s many National Trust properties, Kingston Lacy - an elegant country mansion set in attractive gardens and extensive parkland. A 30 min drive away is the historic Corfe Castle, Dorset's iconic castle ruins sitting above the picturesque village of the same name.
