At the front of the cottage is a terraced garden where you can sit out and enjoy a relaxed supper or morning coffee. With lovely countryside all around, this is a great area for exploring. Head along the winding lane into Chagford to explore the little shops followed by a pub lunch in a choice of excellent inns. In the summer months, you can take a dip in the town’s famous fresh water lido. Dartmoor’s vast open spaces are within easy reach; explore on foot, bike or car. Castle Drogo sitting high above the Teign Valley is a National Trust gem and well worth a visit. Further afield, the historic Cathedral town of Exeter and sandy beaches of the South Hams are within an easy drive. Maple Cottage is an idyllic place for enjoying stunning scenery and complete relaxation.
