Situated within the grounds of the Came House Estate, Park House is a combination of our two handsome houses, The Garden House and The Courtyard House, which together can accommodate up to 19 guests in style.

Dating from the mid 18th century, both properties enjoy the splendour and elegance of Palladian architecture along with the comforts and luxuries of the modern age, thanks to a sensitive and thoughtful renovation. Perfect for a multi-generational family gathering, little ones will be entertained in the play area of The Garden House with its chalk board wall and extensive range of toys.

Just 10 minutes’ drive from the Jurassic Coast and 2 miles from the county town of Dorchester, Park House is an ideal setting for your special occasion.

For smaller groups, both properties can also be booked individually with The Garden House (sleeping 9 guests) and The Courtyard House (sleeping 10 guests).

THE GARDEN HOUSE
Ground Floor:
Sitting room

Comfortable seating for up to 9 guests with a 40" television with Sky and a DVD/Blu-Ray player and an open fire.
Dining kitchen
With Aga, separate oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine and dishwasher.
The dining table seats nine guests.
Utility/cloakroom
With WC, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Lift
There is a lift from the ground floor hall directly up to bedroom two.

First Floor:
Bedroom one

With a super-king size bed and an en-suite bathroom with bath, wash basin and WC.
Bedroom two
With a 7' emperor size bed, lift from the ground floor and with views across the countryside.
Family shower room
With a shower, wash basin and WC.

Second Floor:
Bedroom three

With a 4'6" double bed and garden views.
Bedroom four
With a 4'6" double bed and an additional 3' single bed and countryside views.
Family bathroom
With a bath, wash basin and WC.
Play area
With chalk board walls and a range of toys, games and puzzles.

Outside:
Paved courtyard garden, not fully enclosed, with garden table, benches and chairs.
Parking on a gravelled area to the front of the property for up to four cars.

THE COURTYARD HOUSE
Ground Floor:
Sitting room

A spacious room with ample seating, Sky television, DVD player and an open fire.
Dining kitchen
Modern and well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, American style fridge freezer, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. Dining table seating up to 10 guests.
Utility room
With a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Cloakroom
With wash basin, WC and arm chair.

First Floor:
Bedroom one

With a 6' super-king size bed.
En-suite shower room
With a double shower, wash basin and WC.
Bedroom two
With a 5' king-size bed.
En-suite bathroom
With a bath, wash basin and WC.

Second Floor:
Bedroom three

With a 4'6 double bed and an additional day bed for a third guest if required.
Bedroom four
With twin 3' single beds and an additional day bed for a third guest if required.

A large courtyard with picnic table and benches. A charcoal barbecue is provided.
Parking for up to four cars in a designated gravelled parking area.

Additional Information:
One well behaved dog welcome in each property on request (small additional charge).
A high chair and travel cot is available in each property on request.
The Garden House also has a fixed stairgate at the top of the stairs on the second floor and a mobile stairgate can be provided in addition on request.

About the area

Park House is approximately 2 miles south east of the county town Dorchester, and close enough to the coast to explore the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coastline, with the famous, picturesque Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. The Jurassic Coastline is home to over 300 coastal country walks, offering some breathtaking views over Dorset’s 200 million year old shoreline.

For those who are after some peace and tranquillity, sign up for a workshop, events and many more, on your doorstep, a visit to Sculpture by the Lakes set in 26 acres of glorious countryside, is the perfect choice.

A family day out to Bovington Tank Museum and Monkey World is always worth a visit and packed with fun for all ages.

Dorset is Thomas Hardy country and a visit to Hardy's Cottage a few miles away is one of the many National Trust properties in the area to explore - Max Gate, the former Victorian home of Thomas Hardy and designed by him is situated on the outskirts of Dorchester, just over a mile from the property.

Clouds Hill, the former home of T.E. Lawrence is an isolated cottage near Wareham and is run by the National Trust.

For those with an interest in the trade union history, the Tolpuddle Martyrs Museum tells the story of the Martyrs' arrest, trial and punishment.
