On the lower ground floor there is an indoor heated swimming pool, and the annex holds the games room and the utility room. Situated in the pretty village of West Lulworth, Rafters is an incredible thatched cottage with stunning sea views. This beautiful house can accommodate up to twenty guests in ten bedrooms, all benefiting from wetroom style showers in each of the en-suite bathrooms, some with the added luxury of a roll top bath. This property is finished to a very high standard and has many incredible features including underfloor heating throughout which can be individually controlled in each room, and a SONOS sound system in all the main reception rooms. Beginning on the ground floor, you will be welcomed into a spacious open-plan living space with three seating areas providing plenty of room to entertain guests and spend time all together. In the winter, settle down in front of the log fire to watch a movie, get lost in a good book or plan your days ahead while in the warmer months, open up the large doors onto a terrace offering magnificent views over the cove. There is an array of seating and loungers along with a BBQ for alfresco dining, with the dining room able to seat all twenty guests with cleverly designed sliding doors which can separate this room from the kitchen should you wish to do so. The kitchen has a grand central island and is well-equipped with everything you need to cater for your party; make some drinks at the bar complete with an ice machine, or open a bottle of wine straight from the wine cooler. A bedroom with a super-king-size bed lies on the ground floor, offering fabulous accommodation for guests who may not want the trouble of the stairs. Providing a great spot for storing your muddy shoes and wellies is the charming boot room, with a cloakroom with basin and WC completing this floor. Climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find six immaculately decorated bedrooms, all with super-king-size beds along with a staircase to the second floor. Built into the traditional thatched roof of the property, the second floor features high ceilings and expertly positioned skylights along with a stunning large central glass atrium above the staircase. Here you will find the remaining three bedrooms here, also with super-king-size beds with en-suite bathrooms, as well as a library, with many books to discover and a cinema room with stylish sofas, a TV and surround sound, along with a sitting room to escape to and enjoy some quiet time. When you fancy a dip, the pool complex can be found on the lower ground floor of the house and has a large, indoor heated swimming pool with a children’s splash area, with showers and a WC, plenty of seating and bi-fold doors which open up onto the terrace for you to enjoy those outstanding countryside views. The annex offers a games room with a large TV, DVD player, table tennis, board games, card table and a darts board, so you will never be short of entertainment when you are enjoying a break here. Rafters is accessed through private gates with parking for up to six cars and, with the South West Coast Path right on your doorstep, you can reach Lulworth Cove and the village in less than a mile of walking. There are a variety of pubs and restaurants to choose from and lots of water sport activities to partake in, while a short drive can bring you to the famous natural limestone arch at Durdle Door and the winding cliff top pathways here offer fantastic views of the Jurassic Coast. The traditional seaside town of Weymouth is just fifteen-miles away and is a lovely day out for all the family, with its long stretch of golden sand and shallow waters, there is an array of attractions to keep the younger ones entertained; you can enjoy an ice cream along the pretty Georgian promenade or tuck into fish and chips on the old harbour whilst watching the boats sail past.
