Rexton House is an attractive and spacious property enjoying a quiet location in the beautiful seaside town of Llantwit Major. Upstairs, bedroom one has a king-size bed and bedroom two has twin single beds which can be configured as a super-king size bed on request. Also on the first floor is the family bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. Outside, the fully enclosed courtyard garden includes a useful outdoor food preparation area and comfortable garden furniture for relaxing and dining outdoors.

Located in the historic town of Llantwit Major, Rexton House’s central position means you are never more than a five-minute walk from amenities, pubs and independent shops. There are several beaches nearby with Llantwit Major beach being just over a mile from Rexton House – a quick drive away or a lovely cross-country walk. The beach is a popular destination for surfers and those looking to escape the crowds and to simply enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Rexton House is 40 minutes drive from Cardiff, the vibrant capital of Wales, with retail opportunities, museums, art venues and restaurants, as well as attractions including Cardiff Castle, Bute Park and the Principality Stadium.

About the area

Within a two-minute walk of Rexton House is The Swan where you can enjoy wonderful pub food and a drink.

Just over a mile away is Llantwit Major Beach, one of several beaches readily accessible from Rexton House. The beach is a well-known for its tranquillity and beauty. Here you will see extraordinary rock formations which can be seen best from the headland walks which are part of the Wales Coast Path . The Path is the longest trail in Britain, ranging from Chester to Chepstow. This part is known as the Glamorgan Heritage Coast. It is well worth exploring the Path to the east and west of Llantwit Beach, and there are many opportunities to turn inland and return to Rexton House.

If you appreciate local produce you might like to visit the Cowbridge Farmers’ Market held weekly on Saturdays.

The local climate makes the area suitable for grape cultivation and Llanerch Vineyard Hotel and Glyndwr Vineyard, which welcome visitors.

A 40 minute drive from Rexton House is Cardiff, Wales’ capital city which promises to delight with its vibrant streets and beautiful castle. On the way to Cardiff is Dyffryn Gardens, a National Trust property with stunning gardens.

Llantwit Major is a 50 minute drive from Swansea with its lovely coastline and is a hive of activity.

For petrol heads, Llandow Circuit offers race days for the grown-ups and go-karting for the young and old.
