A large kitchen and dining area is within the large open plan living area, ideal for entertaining and for guests to socialise with the designated chef, a large oak table with comfortable seating for ten, has been perfectly positioned in front of the floor to ceiling glass doors to benefiting from the breath-taking sea views, slide them open and breathe in the fresh sea air, a fabulous setting to entertain or dine in, the Keller designed kitchen, with high gloss units, Corian sink and worksurfaces, boasts simple clean lines and an elegant finish, is well-appointed with everything any chef could desire, take a seat on one of the bar stools at the large island and enjoy a coffee watching the ocean, sliding doors open out from the kitchen to a terrace, with a stone table and two matching bench seats, which make a perfect spot for an alfresco drink, a separate utility room houses a washing machine and dryer.
There is a choice of five comfortable bedrooms, three king sized with private en-suites and two rooms fitted with a super-king zip and link bed as standard, which can be arranged as a twin on request, giving lots of sleeping options, all rooms enjoy stunning sea views, the master king sized room and super-king rooms, are located on the garden level and enjoy direct access to the seaward facing decked terrace and garden, the other two king size rooms are located on the first floor with seaward facing private balconies, each is well presented with sumptuously dressed beds in Egyptian cotton, lit by natural light, through windows and offer plenty of storage space.
The family bathroom is conveniently located next to the garden level bedrooms, there is a choice of a relaxing long soak in a bath or a refreshing spacious walk-in rain shower, the three king size rooms all enjoy private en-suites, two with a feature free standing bath and a first-floor king room with a rain shower, and additional cloakroom with WC is located on the ground floor.
A stunning landscaped garden surrounds the property, accessed from the kitchen via steps and garden level bedrooms, a large paved seaward facing terrace extends the full width of the house, with outdoor furniture set and barbeque for the whole party to dine alfresco, with breath-taking uninterrupted views of St Ives Bay, the garden extends down two further terraces which are laid to lawn, relax soaking up the sun on either of the two sun loungers or enjoy the range of garden games provided, including French cricket.
To the side of the house is a gate which provides easy access to the beautiful coastal path on Hain Walk, which leads to the beaches of St Ives in one direction and Carbis Bay in another within a short walk, this cliffside path offers a fabulous opportunity to spot wildlife, you may even be accompanied by seals or dolphins splashing in the surf, if you’re lucky, Carbis Bay Beach is a slice of paradise with azure waters lapping its golden shores, it has a seasonal lifeguard service, so why not try surfing the waves or enjoying a swim in the blue flag awarded waters, many of St Ives beaches are stunning with white sand and crystal clear waters, an alternative way of touring the surrounding area is by hopping aboard the scenic railway, it runs beside the beaches with sea views all the way.
St Ives is a beautiful traditional Cornish fishing village, surrounded by beaches and set around a pretty arc shaped working harbour, where fisherman land a daily catch of fresh sea food to supply its plethora of cafes and restaurants, some like the Michelin Plate, Porthminster Beach Café, set right on the beach, with a stunning view to match the food, St Ives has inspired many artists and a tour of its galleries and boutiques among its cobbled streets will showcase this or to see famous work visit the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden.
Treat yourself to a night out at Cornwall’s open air theatre, the Minack is dramatically cut out of a Cornish cliff with the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop, its near Land’s End, so you could grab a selfie by its iconic sign-post first, on your way back stop at the majestic St Michaels Mount, a castle set on its own island near Penzance, at low tide you can even venture out to it on foot via a man-made causeway of granite setts, if seeing Cornwall on television or the big screen inspired your visit many of the historic tin mines, quaint harbours and hidden coves, seen in Poldark, Doc Martin and Fisherman’s Friends to name a few, can be visited, for a little excitement how about walking above the tree tops of a rain forest, via a canopy walkway at the Eden Project near, St Austell.
