The Heydon is a brick and flint converted farm building which forms part of Jonas Farm Barns, a small complex of nine barns that have shared use of the heated indoor pool. The cottage is on one level and full of character with flint walls, vaulted ceilings and beams, but is warm and cosy too with underfloor heating. Comfortable and well-equipped, with an enclosed courtyard garden, the cottage is found in a quiet rural setting and enjoys lovely views across open farmland towards the coast.

Just two miles away from the popular seaside resort of Cromer, this is a wonderful romantic retreat for couples, but equally suitable for someone wishing to holiday alone. This is a great base from which to explore the many rural and coastal delights and attractions on offer in this beautiful area of North Norfolk. The National Trust properties at Felbrigg and Blicking are close by, and beautiful Sheringham Park is a short drive away. Roughton has a shop open 24/7, a petrol station and pub serving food; and Cromer has an abundance of cafes, restaurants and some of the best fish and chips for miles around. There are some excellent gastro pubs nearby;The Gunton Arms at Thorpe Market and The Vernon Arms at Southrepps, to name but two. And, don’t forget to try some renowned Cromer crabs – they are truly delicious!

All Ground Floor Accommodation:
Open-plan kitchen, sitting and dining area
The kitchen area has an electric cooker, fridge with icebox, microwave and washing machine. There is a sofa and two armchairs and table and chairs, television with Freeview and radio. A doorway leads into an enclosed courtyard garden.
King-size bedroom
With a 5' king-size bed and walk-in wardrobe.
Bathroom
A modern suite with bath, over bath shower, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Outside:
A pretty walled courtyard garden catches the sun. There is a table and chairs for outside dining in summer months.
Communal parking area with space for one car.

Additional Information:
Please note dogs may have been in the property. Two well behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge).
Children and infants welcome, please note you will need to bring your own travel cot and highchair with you if they are required.
Underfloor heating throughout.
Pillows and duvet are synthetic fibre.
Access Note: There is a grab rail in the bath / shower.
Guests are able to enjoy the complex's heated indoor pool (13m x 6m), open daily between 09.00hrs and 18.30hrs. Since Covid, you need to book a one hour, time slot for exclusive use for your barn - the sign up sheet is in the swimming pool entrance. Swimming towels are not provided, so please remember to bring your own. Please note there is no lifeguard on duty.

Roughton is just two miles from the popular seaside resort of Cromer, and a great base from which to explore both rural and coastal North Norfolk.

Cromer has a beautiful sandy beach and the Victorian Cromer Pier with one of the last remaining pier theatres in the country.

The are some wonderful National Trust properties close by - Felbrigg Hall is approximately one mile away, where there are some lovely woodland walks, Sheringham Park is a short drive away where you can enjoy both parkland and coastal walking, and the stunning Blickling Hall a little further away.

The village has a shop and pub serving food, and Cromer has an abundance of cafes, restaurants and some of the best fish and chips for miles around.
