About the area

Sadly the award winning village pub, The Churchill Arms just across the road, has had to close for the foreseeable future following a tragic fire. Nearby Chipping Campden offers plenty of delicious eateries, including Michael's Mediterranean restaurant.

To work off the calories, pull on your walking boots and enjoy one of the many countryside walks. Details of two popular circular walking routes can be found here.

There are numerous villages to explore including: Upper Slaughter, Lower Slaughter, Snowshill and Kingham to name but a few.

For some retail therapy there is an abundance of popular market towns to explore such as: Chipping Campden, Moreton-In-Marsh, Stow-On-The-Wold and beautiful Broadway. Bourton-on-the-Water (fondly known as the Venice of the Cotswolds) is also a must see.

For those who love beautiful gardens; Batsford Arboretum, Sezincote House and Gardens, Bourton House and Garden and Blenheim Palace and Gardens, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. are all just a short drive from the property.

If you are here in the summer months, why not treat yourself to an evening at the Longborough Opera. The Chipping Norton Theatre put on some fabulous plays and shows throughout the year.
