This bright and spacious property is located within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. A short stroll away is the famous Lulworth Cove and the start of the coast path to the iconic Durdle Door. There are numerous opportunities for enjoying coastal and country walks with breath-taking scenery from this ever popular village.

The accommodation includes a spacious sitting room with wood burning stove, a well-equipped open-plan kitchen and family dining area with doors out to the pretty garden with its dining terrace. There is also a study/snug, a useful utility room and cloakroom. The four bedrooms include a king-size double with an en-suite shower room, a second king-size double, a twin bedroom with the flexibility of linking together to make a third king-size bed, and bedroom four has a double bed. There is a stylish family bathroom with shower.

The village enjoys a variety of amenities, including a village store (seasonal), pubs, restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops. Ideally situated for trips to the nearby towns of Dorchester, Weymouth and Wareham, the delights of Wareham Forest, Corfe Castle, Purbeck, and Kimmeridge Bay are also all within easy reach. Guests can enjoy learning about this fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic coastal area from the Lulworth Cove Visitor Centre.

About the area

The White House is perfectly located for families or friends who wish to enjoy the beautiful surrounding area and the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coastline, with the famous Lulworth Cove just a six-minute walk away.

The cove is ideal for water sports in general and paddle boarding in particular, and boat trips are available from the cove to Wareham.

Fishing boats still operate from the cove with fresh seafood available to purchase locally.

West Lulworth has its own village stores, and local restaurants, pubs, cafes, and souvenir shops, all within a short stroll from the property.

A visit to nearby Lulworth Castle and park is to be recommended and within walking distance.

The iconic Durdle Door and the coast path to access it starts from the village, and the wider Jurassic Coastline is home to over 300 coastal country walks, offering some breathtaking views over Dorset’s 200 million year old shoreline.

The nearby village of Wool is a sizeable village on the River Frome, in the Purbeck area of south Dorset. It has its own village store, pharmacy, a bakery and a butchers shop.

There is excellent fishing in the River Frome as well as various golf courses, bridleways, cycling and riding routes.

Kimmeridge Bay lies within a marine Special Area of Conservation and boasts the best rock pooling and safest snorkelling site in Dorset.

Nearby Tyneham Village was evacuated in December 1943 during WWII and has been deserted ever since, and you can see some of the original buildings and read about what village life used to be like.

Spend a day at Ringstead where you can take a walk across the cliff tops, bring a kite or pack a picnic to enjoy on the beach.

Situated in the heart of Thomas Hardy country, Lawrence of Arabia's cottage Clouds Hill, TheTank Museum and Monkey World are within easy reach.

There are numerous other highlights within the local area, such as Corfe Castle, Swanage Bay, the Swanage Steam Railway and RSPB Arne Nature Reserve.

The town of Wareham is situated on the River Frome eight miles from West Lulworth. Explore the town’s 2000 years of history, enjoy a delicious meal at one of the eateries, browse the interesting and unique shops or go for a walk and surround yourself with rolling hills and beautiful views.

Weymouth's award-winning golden sandy beach and historic waterfront harbour are certainly worth a visit.

The country town of Dorchester is just a 25 minute drive away, with its museums, shops, restaurants, cafes and cinemas.
