White Rose Cottage - Luxury Cottage In The Yorkshire Dales

On entering White Rose Cottage, you will be greeted with a warm welcome. The combination of the wood burning stove together with the Lucy Pittaway artwork displayed through the cottage, makes for a perfect retreat in all seasons. The light and welcoming sitting room, featuring exposed beams, is complemented by a three-seater sofa and two comfortable armchairs, a Smart television with Netflix and DVD player, Sonos speakers providing music and radio; all you need to spend a relaxing evening in front of the fire after a busy excursion in the beautiful Dales. Also situated on the ground floor is the modern shower room with a large walk-in shower. A contemporary and well-equipped kitchen provides a dining area for two, pretty Sophie Allport blinds, and the added luxury of a Tassimo coffee machine. Here you can cook to your hearts content and take full advantage of a mid-summer evening with alfresco dining in the delightful courtyard area, home to comfortable rattan garden dining furniture and a gas barbecue. As you make your way upstairs from the sitting room, you will be welcomed by a spacious bedroom with a super-king size bed (can be configured as twin 3′ single beds on request), a Smart television with Netflix and a DVD player and a dressing table, filled with light from two windows framing the lovely views overlooking the local farmland.

Take full advantage of the cottage’s splendid outside area; the pretty, sun-trap courtyard and the lawned area, which boasts decadent rattan sun loungers to lie back and relax on, whilst delving into your favourite book.

When you want to eat out, just a short walk away from White Rose Cottage is the renowned Wyvill Arms, serving homemade local cuisine.

With a 6' super-king-size zip and link bed which can also be configured as twin single beds on request before arrival, Smart television with Netflix DVD player, Sonos speaker, dressing table, double wardrobe and chair.

Outside:
Private gravelled patio area with rattan garden furniture and gas barbecue. Lawn to the front of the cottage where two sun loungers can be provided in warmer months.
Parking is off-road with two dedicated spaces provided.

Additional Information:
EVCP - Electric vehicle charging point is available for guests to use. Please bring your own charging lead (EVCP-7.2kw Type 2, fast charger).
A highchair and travel cot can be provided on request (please provide your own cot linen).
One small well behaved dog is welcome (small additional charge).
The bed can be configured as a super-king size or twin singles, please specify when booking if you require the twin option.
Bedding is feather (super-king size duvet) and non-feather (single duvets and pillows).

About the area

Residing just five-minutes away from the bustling market town of Leyburn is the village of Constable Burton, boasting a well known Hall and Gardens and home to the Wyvill Arms where you can relax in grandeur with some fine cuisine.

The local town of Richmond is home to its own magnificent Castle. Whilst visiting the town, the local river is a must for any visitor and makes a superb family day out. Aysgarth is just a short drive "up dale" and is famed for its Waterfalls, which have even been in films!

For a great day out visit the Forbidden Corner in Middleham, a strange and wonderful place full of surprises.

Hardraw, near the market town of Hawes in Wensleydale. Hawes is of course home to the famous Wensleydale Creamery, where you can see the cheese being made and enjoy the finished product in the sample room.

In the spring, Constable Burton Gardens are awash with tulips and daffodils, just a stroll away form White Rose Cottage. For steam train enthusiasts, ride the Heritage Wensleydale Railway. The line runs from Leeming Bar, near Bedale to Redmire, with themed journeys being a regular feature . Alternatively visit Ribblehead Viaduct, a historic part of the Settle to Carlisle line and a milestone in the Yorkshire Three Peaks.

There are galleries aplenty and the well known Yorkshire artist Lucy Pittaway has a gallery in Ripon, Richmond and Brompton on Swale, Lucy is the official artist for the Tour de Yorkshire.
